Today I’m going to talk about the benefits of Laser Acupuncture. But prior to that, we must discuss the first point: what should we call this acupuncture alternative?
The word Acupuncture means:
Acus = needle
Puncture = puncturing

A few other techniques may be chosen, such as Reininger Laser, where, for each meridian, different amounts of Joules are used, in this situation, the stimulus time per point is a variable and will depend on which organ / viscera is being treated.
Topping that, Laser Acupuncture is completely painless. The patient will rarely feel any different sensation, sometimes a slight warmness on the spot, always very easy and mostly imperceptible.
- Maybe be done in any age group
Just like traditional Acupuncture, done by needles, Acupuncture done by Laser can also be used no matter the patient’s age. A plus, due to it being, fast, painless, and non-invasive, groups with higher sensitivity, such as children and elderly may also be treated without any trouble.
- Trash production reduction
Different from traditional Acupuncture, where we use needles, Laser Acupuncture produces a very small amount of trash. Needle packs, tubes, cotton for patient skin cleaning are all dismissed from this method. The therapist must always use protective toes on the tip of the stimulating pen, and may also opt for the use of plastic protection, such as plastic film/film, made of PVC.
- We can combine therapies
Laser devices usually come with tons of possible options, in Joules, continuous, pulsed, red and infrared, Ilib Therapy. With these many options, the qualified therapist may work not only on acupuncture points, but also on inflammation regions, or for esthetic treatments, dermatological treatments, and many others.
The qualified therapist may practice Laser Acupuncture without any major trouble. The majority of brands selling these devices in Brazil, are commercialized only after healthy area graduating proof, and should only be used only upon having had the necessary training. If you are not in Brazil, you need to know how it works legally in your country. That is due to some security questions that should be learned, among them, the protection glasses, or possible collateral risks and effects.

It’s modern and may sound weird for those who don’t give up on needles. But, with no doubt, it’s a resource that must never be ignored.
